Coachella

CoachellaFront
Summer tank!

Pattern: Coachella by Fathom Harvill from the Summer 2007 knitty.com
Yarn: K1C2's 2nd Time Cotton (100% cotton 75% cotton, 25% acrylic - thanks Jess! - recycled from textile waste)
Needles: Knitpicks Options, 9 for the body, 7's for the neckline and hem
Started: ~ June 20, 2007
Finished: July 28, 2007

CoachellaBack
Racerback!

Comments: I like this tank, but I'm not completely in love with it. The neckline is too low, but I have a nice tank to wear under it and I'm happy with how it looks with the tank. The armholes sometimes dig into my arms, but I think really that's just a reminder to have better posture, because when I sit up straight it doesn't hurt. It's a little heavy (100% cotton, what did I expect?), but I like how it hangs and doesn't ride up. It's the perfect length. Hmm... why do I not love this tank? Not sure, but hopefully it will grow on me :)

well, I think it looks cute! I actually just ordered some yarn to make one, after you introduced me to the pattern at meetup!! YAY! Actually, the yarn I picked may end up being a hideous choice, but it was marked down at LEAST 60% at knit happens online, so I thought, "why not?!!?!?!" Perhaps my drought is over? Let's hope. Anyway, CUTE TANK!

It's cute! I like it. :)

[btw, the k1c2 2nd time cotton I have is only 75% cotton, 25% acrylic. did they make it 100% cotton in the past? ]

I like it! I think it looks good with the tank underneath too. Great job, Sarah!

I love it! I might have to try that pattern now...

Jess is right - it is 75% cotton 25% acrylic! Just goes to show how well I read my yarn labels :)
Thanks Jess!

I love mine! I added a couple of rows of the twisted stockinette around the armholes and it gives me enough overage that I can wear a bra.... Yours looks good!

It looks great!

wow, it looks fantastic! the neckline drapes really nicely. (you know, if you were feeling daring you could go sans tank...) I hope it grows on you too. it's really cute!

I think it looks really nice...I hope you fall in love...sometimes it takes a couple times wearing it...the tank is uber cute underneath!

Love the tank - do you think it would work as a halter rather than a racerback?
