Yes, that's the Space Needle. And, since it was nice and clear, Mt. Ranier (my first glimpse!). My co-worker previously lived in Seattle and knew some great vantage points to get good views of the city. This was what we saw looking west:

All the way over to the Olympic Moutains. Seattle really put on a warm welcome for us! 36 hours later, I was back in DC, looking at a weather forecast of snow for Easter weekend. (Note to DC: not impressed.)
Tomorrow, my travels continue on the East coast with a few whirlwind tours. Sadly, not much time to see or do anything.
While I was cleaning off the camera, I found this:

This is from my trip to Williamsburg, VA last month. This is the color range that they've obtained using natural dyes (and, one would assume, only those available a few hundred years ago). Something to aim for, although I'm not going to give up my Jacquard acid dyes anytime soon!
Knitting, spinning and dyeing updates soon!

Posted by: Mom on April 8, 2007 09:35 PMThat yarn pic is inspirational- my dad keeps threatening to grow a dye garden so I'm forced to spend more time at home. Last year's bribe was alpacas- I'm frightened for what's next.
Posted by: Faith on April 8, 2007 10:52 PMI am planning a Seattle trip this year (gotta visit Jenna!), and I would love to see these views.
Love the Williamsburg dye picture. Those skeins are gorgeous. I would love to try more natural dyeing... gotta find the time!
Posted by: Lolly on April 9, 2007 08:44 AMI have visited your site often and like if very much, it is always so interesting, I have linked you to my blog and will be visiting you often. Yes, you and your pictures are very ispirational. Also Iwould like to quote you on an old post about a mile and how many yards make a mile, etc. I live in the mile high city of Denver and a group 0 Denver knits is having a sock challenge to make 5280 pairs of socks. So, I dedicded to make a pattern and at the end, I would like to use your quote and give you the credit?
Posted by: terri lynn on April 14, 2007 04:59 PMI'm back from Colorado and have some pictures that could almost rival yours (though the two full days we were there were snowy and cloudy... oh well) :)
