Happy Sarah

IslandicYarn.jpg

Have you ever seen a happier Sarah? My bed is made all the comfier with lots of yarn! We visited the Alafoss Lopi factory store in Mossfellbaer, Iceland. I got three pattern books and the yarn to make 3 sweaters - two for me and one for Dan. Plus a few balls of sockyarn and a bit of extras (of course!). Altogether, the yarn for the 3 sweaters cost me just a little bit more than buying one. Of course, I still have to put them together!

And then, the next day, we were at the grocery store to buy some lunch, and you'll never guess what I found... more yarn! And on clearance! Egyptian cotton for only about $1.30 a ball. So I bought some. And then there were Addi turbos for about $2. Which I also bought. Basically, our souvenirs from Iceland consist of some pictures (which I put up on the web here), a pack of playing cards with Islandic whales, some Brennivin schnapps, and the yarn. Really, that's about it. But what fun!

You look pretty darn happy! What great yarn finds and what a fun trip! I think your job would be so much fun. I love nature. I'm glad you posted. I enjoyed it!

Any yarn for little sisters?? :) It does sound like you had a great time! We called and wished Dan a happy birthday on Saturday, but you were out letterboxing so we couldn't talk to you... maybe next time.

Oooh! Great yarns. I always fawn over my new yarns for hours after I've bought them. It's part of the fun!
